BBC recommissions detective show

Ardal O’Hanlon is to return for two more series of Death In Paradise, the BBC has announced.

He will return as lead detective DI Jack Mooney alongside Don Warrington, Tobi Bakare and Shyko Amos

Aude Legastelois will also join as a cast regular, having appeared in the last two episodes as DS Madeleine Dumas.

Series eight of the detective series, filmed on the French-Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, has just come to an end.

The series has been a hit for BBC One with last month’s opening episode pulling in 8.9 million consolidated viewers.
