Global entertainment group United Talent Agency has hired comedy promoter Georgie Donnelly as a new UK-based agent.

She has been poached from Kilimanjaro Live, where she organised tours for acts including Tape Face, Tony Law, Jim Jefferies, Aziz Ansari and Amy Schumer.

Based in London, she will book and represent comedy acts internationally.

Nick Nuciforo, head of comedy touring for UTA said: ‘We are thrilled to have Georgie join our expanding global team. Her extensive and unique experience in promotion will be an invaluable resource.’

Last year UTA poached comedy agent Bjorn Wentlandt from Avalon Entertainment for its UK team.

Donnelly previously worked for Australia’s Laughing Stock Productions, producing the likes of Felicity Ward and Sammy J & Randy, and started her career in the UK as an agent at RBM Comedy working with the likes of Miles Jupp, Kerry Godliman and Tom Allen.
