Shelter announces major benefit gig

With John Bishop, James Acaster, Jon Richardson and more

Homeless charity Shelter has announced a star-studded fundraiser at the  O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on March 21.

The line-up includes John Bishop, James Acaster, Jo Brand, Josh Widdicombe and Desiree Burch, with Jon Richardson hosting. More names are yet to be announced.

Bishop said: ‘No family, and especially no child, should have to face homelessness. We’re going to put on a great night of comedy, and I hope people will come along and be generous in support such an important cause."

Polly Neate, chief executive at Shelter, added: ‘Stand Up for Shelter is a chance to for people to see some fantastic comedy and support the hundreds of thousands of people who are homeless in this country.

‘We’d like to thank the whole line up for lending their support. The money we raise will help provide advice, support and legal services for people at the sharpest end of the housing crisis.’

Tickets went on sale today, here,  priced from £22.50 to £47.50.
