Bill Maher, Nick Offerman, Kevin Smith and Impractical Jokers stars The Tenderloins are among the comedians who will be playing this year’s  New York Comedy Festival.

The event has today announced some of the highlights of its six-day event, which will feature more than 200 comedians performing at more than 60 shows from November 7.

Others who will headline the 14th annual festival are  Brian Regan, Jon Lovett, Ron White, Jim Norton, Tom Segura, Iliza Shlesinger, Vir Das, 2 Dope Queens and Chris Hardwick.

As previously announced, Conan O'Brien will bring his show to the Apollo Theater for a week of shows, while Samantha Bee will also record an edition of Full Frontal in front of a festival audience.

Festival founder Caroline Hirsch, who also owns the Carolines on Broadway club, said: ‘ We’re delighted to present a talented slate of more than 200 unique and diverse performers who are at the forefront of comedy right now.

‘Now more than ever, comedy is breaking boundaries as a way for us to understand and discuss the changing world around us.  Whether providing a sharp-tongued takedown of modern politics or a hilarious escape from the news, these talented performers will provide plenty of laughs during the festival.’

There will also be a series of workshops during the festival while additional performers  will be announced later in the autumn.

Tickets for the programme so far will be available via the official website from 10am New York time on August 14.
