New episodes drop today

A surprise second series of the revamped version of Green Wing has launched on Audible today.

The cult hospital sitcom was revived for an audio series in 2024 – 17 years after it ended its Channel 4 run – reuniting the original cast and overseen by creator Victoria Pile.

Although no second series was announced, another six episodes of Green Wing: Resuscitated have dropped this morning, running for more than 4hrs 50 mins.

Returning are Guy Secretan (Stephen Mangan), now rich and famous with a grand Swiss chalet-style mansion in the works; Mac MacCartney (Julian Rhind-Tutt) questioning his next move; Caroline Todd (Tamsin Greig) wondering what the future holds; and   Sue White (Michelle Gomez), still causing havoc.

The series also includes the return of Martin Dear (Karl Theobald), Joanna Clore (Pippa Haywood), Alan Statham (Mark Heap). 

Pile has written the series with Fay Rusling, James Henry, Oriane Messina and Robert Harley.
