John Thomson, Katherine Parkinson and Mawaan Rizwan in Channel 4 special

 John Thomson, Katherine Parkinson and Mawaan Rizwan have joined the voice cast of Channel 4’s next animated adventure involving Mog the cat, Mog’s Bad Thing, 

Benedict Cumberbatch  and Claire Foy will once again play the pet’s owners, Mr and Mrs Thomas, in the hand-drawn adaptation of Judith Kerr’s picture book.

Thomson will play Mr Bunce, Parkinson Mrs Ramsbottom, Rizwan as Ali and Amelia Theodorou as Amy.

Airing this Christmas, the story involves Mog getting overexcited as the Thomas family host a cat show in their garden.

The special, being made by Lupus Films, follows Mog's Christmas, which aired on Christmas Eve 2023 and was nominated for a Bafta

Kerr based the Mog books on the antics of her own family cat – together  the 18 titles have sold more than four million copies worldwide and been translated into 24 languages.
