Ricky Gervais announces 2026-27 tour Legend
With the rights already sold to Netflix
Ricky Gervais has announced the first dates of his new tour – with Netflix snapping up the rights already.
Gervais will tour the new show, titled Legend, from September through to the end of 2027, when it will be filmed and become his fifth Netflix special for the streamer.
Thirteen UK dates have been announced today, from September to December this year, with more arena shows across the UK, Europe and North America to be announced later.
‘This is my most personal show so far and because both cancel culture, and most people I knew growing up, are dead, I can really say what the fuck I want now,’ Gervais said in a statement – which ironically partially censored the word ‘fuck’.
Netflix have purchased Legend for an undisclosed amount with Gervais adding: ‘I’m not saying how much they’re paying me this time, but I can say it’s my favourite deal so far.’
He was said to have been paid $20million for the Humanity special – a figure he reposted on X.
Gervais will again be donating a portion of the proceeds from the tour’s ticket sales to charity. A total of £2.43 million was donated to worldwide animal charities at the end of his Mortality tour in 2025.
Gervais’ four previous tours Humanity, Supernature, Armageddon and Mortality topped the Netflix charts upon release, with Armageddon and Mortality both winning Gervais the Golden Globe for best TV stand-up in 2024 and 2026 respectively.
Tickets for the first set of UK dates on the Ricky Gervais: Legend tour go on general sale at 10am next Friday, June 26.
