Paired with Nigel Havers

Julian Clary is joining Celebrity Gogglebox.

The comic will be paired with suave actor Nigel Havers for the eighth series of the Channel 4 show which starts on Friday.

He said: ‘Doing Celebrity Gogglebox was an absolute treat, a perfectly civilised way to spend an evening. I do like to think my commentary brought a certain level of refinement to proceedings, and Nigel managed to stay awake, although there is an unsightly stain on my sofa.’

Also joining the show are Loose Woman Olivia Attwood and her mum Jennifer; Harry Aikines-Aryeetey  and Matt Morsia, aka Nitro and Legend from Gladiators; and content creators George Clark and Max Balegde.

Comics Mo Gilligan and Babatunde Aleshe will also be returning alongside the likes of Vernon Kay and Paddy McGuinness, Bez and Shaun Ryder, Roman and Martin Kemp, the Mangans and  Denise Van Outen and Johnny Vaughan.
