Alfie Moore wins top audio comedy award
Comic strikes gold in the Arias for It's A Fair Cop
Alfie Moore has won one of the top awards in audio entertainment for his Radio 4 show It’s A Fair Cop.
The policeman-turned-comedian scooped the comedy category at the Arias, handed out by the Audio Academy last night.
Writing on X, he said: ‘Omg! We only went and friggin won the Best Comedy Award!!’

He won for the ninth series of the show, in which he gets his audience to consider what policing decisions they would make as he takes them through real-life crime scenarios. A tenth series has been commissioned.
Silver in the comedy category went to Jon Holmes’ topical mash-up show The Skewer, while bronze went to Chris and Rosie Ramsey’s podcast Shagged, Married, Annoyed
Elsewhere in the awards, Romesh Ranganathan won the music entertainment category for his Radio 2 show.
Four Gammons And A Unicorn, a one-off satirical comedy drama about a left-wing student being embraced by the right, won gold in the best drama or fiction category. The Radio 4 play was written by Katie Sayer and starred Daniel Mays and Rufus Jones.
The podcast Comedians Chatting Cancer – made by the Acast network with Cancer Research UK – picked up silver in the best commercial partnership category.
The results were announced at The Roundhouse in London in a ceremony hosted by Rylan.
