Third series for Such Brave Girls

'I will make the BBC regret this decision' says creator Kat Sadler

Such Brave Girls is to return for a third series, the BBC has announced at its comedy conference in Liverpool.

Kat Sadler – who created the show and stars as Josie – said it was ‘an honour and a shock that the BBC would willingly let us rancid little worms back into the building. I promise I will make them regret this decision.’

She appears alongside her real-life sibling Lizzie Davidson, who plays on-screen sister Billie  and Louise Brealey who plays their mum Debs.

Jon Petrie, the BBC’s director of comedy commissioning, said: ‘After a breakout debut and multiple award wins, we’re chuffed that the brilliant Kat Sadler’s fearless comedy is back for a third series. This one promises to bring even more turmoil from a family who make dysfunction look effortless.’

Jack Bayles, executive producer with programme-makers VAL added: ‘Well done to the BBC for spotting that Such Brave Girls is in fact a vital public service.  A tremendous hit of schadenfreude for these trying times – the kind that only Kat Sadler can deliver.’
