Series two for Steve Carell comedy
HBO has renewed its comedy series Rooster, starring Steve Carell and Charly Clive, for a second season.
The order comes midway through the first series, with the first four of ten episodes averaging 5.8million US viewers on HBO.
The show set in the fictional Ludlow college, is available on Now TV and HBO Max in the UK.
Amy Gravitt, head of HBO comedy series, said: ’It’s been heartening to feel the audience embrace Rooster… we’re looking forward to seeing what Ludlow’s spring semester has in store for this incredible comedy ensemble.’
Executive producer and writer Bill Lawrence added: ‘We are so grateful to [production company] Warner Bros. Television and HBO for being such great partners. It’s been a a career highlight.’
The series one cast also includes Danielle Deadwyler, Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley, and Lauren Tsai.
