Kathy Rivett makes the Chortle student final again

Now the People's Choice polls open

Kathy Rivett has made the final of the Chortle Student Comedy Award for the second year running. 

The 21-year-old, who is studying illustration with animation at Manchester Metropolitan University won the semi-final held it the city's Fairfield Social Club this week.

She joins the previously chosen Eva Peroni, Will Finney and Adam Ernest Pickard  in the final at the Edinburgh Fringe and the chance to win £1,000. They will also all be given  the opportunity to perform in the comedy arena at Latitude in July

As that was the last semi, polls are now open for the People's Choice Award. Watch the contestants at Manchester – below – and London, Brighton and Exeter then use the form below to vote for your favourite to secure their place in the final.

Polls close at 5pm on April 6 and we will announce the winner the following day, along with those who have landed wildcard places in the final.
