Chicken Shop Date creator creator has a movie in development

Amelia Dimoldenberg is set to star in a romcom movie

The Chicken Shop Date creator is working with Orion Pictures on the as-yet-untitled project, which she will also produce.

Hollywood trade website Variety reports that Dimoldenberg would star as a ‘by-the-book journalist whose carefully planned life unravels when a routine celebrity interview unexpectedly turns into a romance that makes her question everything she believes about love’.

Girls writer Sarah Heyward is penning the script for the film, which is still in development.

It will no doubt draw on Dimoldenberg’s experiences awkwardly interviewing celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence Idris Elba and Sabrina Carpenter.

Gloria Sanchez Productions, the company behind Booksmart, will produce with Dimoldenberg.
