© Channel 4 Comic stars join C4's Break Clause
Upcoming comedy with Lara Ricote and Samuel Bottomley
A host of familiar comedy faces including John Thomson, Jessica Knappett and Catherine Cohen have joined the cast of forthcoming Channel 4 sitcom Break Clause.
As previously announced, the six-part series revolves around about a couple who break up but can't escape their shared flat and stars Samuel Bottomley from How To Have Sex and comedian Lara Ricote.

Also announced as part of the cast today include Charly Clive – known for her stage show and BBC Three pilot Britney about her brain tumour – Our Flag Means Death star Nathan Foad, and Hammed Animashaun and Jack Shep, both newly announced as being part of the cast for the British Saturday Night Live.

The cast is completed by Lucy Black, Michael Workéyè, Assa Kanouté, Tamika Bennett, Jack James Ryan and Lucas Jone.
Full details of their roles have not yet been announced, but Knappett will play a vicar.

Break Clause has been written and created by Jess Bray, who worked on The Outlaws, and directed by Alice Snedden from Starstruck.

The series started as a Comedy Blap (watch here), the strand has previously helped launch shows including We Are Lady Parts and Stath Lets Flats.
