Celebrating hidden camera show's 25 year anniversary

Dom Joly is going on tour to mark 25 years of Trigger Happy TV.

The live show will revive characters and sketches from the hidden camera show, which originally ran on Channel 4 from 2000 to 2003.

In a 100-date tour, the comic will revive the likes of the giant snail, the traffic warden, the morris dancer, the scout, the gang of squirrels, and THAT big mobile phone.

Joly will also share behind-the-scenes stories and insights on how he made the programme.

In a trailer for the tour he said of Trigger Happy TV: ‘Quite frankly it changed my life. It opened up so many doors and it allowed me to have the quite fantastic last quarter-century that I’ve had.’

Joly previously performed four live shows to celebrate the landmark anniversary, which prompted the new tour.

Trigger Happy TV returned for a one-off special and a series of shorts in 2016. Joly also made the hidden camera shows World Shut Your Mouth and Fool Britannia – as well as the travel series Dom Joly's Happy Hour and a short-lived chat show, while also working as a travel writer.
