Lenny Henry announces a rare stand-up tour

Comic back on the road in 2026

Lenny Henry has announced a 2026 tour, returning to stand-up after 17 years.

The comedian will play 12 dates of the show Still At Large, described as ‘part stand-up, part storytelling and part conversation with himself (and with you)’

Dates include a hometown gig in Dudley Town Hall on May 10 and a show in Soho Theatre’s new venue in Walthamstow, North-East London on June 28.

It follows a one-off at the Perth Festival of the Arts in May this year. When that was announced he said:‘The acting has been something I've been very proud of and want to continue. But I love the idea of having an hour of comedy you can do, in your pocket.’

‘I love my audience and I want to show them I'm not just Lenny the impressionist, Lenny the writer or Lenny the actor.’

The official description for  Still At Large says: ‘This new live show sees Lenny return to the experiences that shaped him while also exploring the ideas, challenges and creative sparks driving him today.

‘From the unforgettable days of The Lenny Henry Show and Chef! to acclaimed dramatic performances in Othello and, more recently, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Lenny traces the roles, characters and moments that have defined his remarkable career – and shares what continues to inspire him now as he reflects on a life lived out loud.

‘Expect big laughs, heart and a celebration of the many versions of Lenny: the actor, the impressionist, the comedian, the fundraiser and the stand-up anecdotalist.’
