Stand-up show promises to 'change your life'

Romesh Ranganathan has announced a new tour – but not until 2027.

The comic will be hitting the road with a show called Romesh Ranganathan Will Change Your Life.

Initially, 24 dates have been announced, starting at the King’s Theatre on January 6 and building up to arenas including The O2 in London, AO Arena in Manchester and Utilita Arenas in Birmingham and Cardiff.

In the blurb,  Ranganathan writes: ‘Tired of trying quick fixes and papering over the cracks in your life?  Then you haven’t tried my new quick fix. My latest tour show. It’s scientifically proven to improve your self-esteem.

‘‘Simply standing next to my tour poster will boost your attractiveness to potential lovers. Problems at home? I will teach you how to successfully bottle up your feelings and pour them out to strangers at a variety of theatres and arenas.

‘Watch my new improved show once and you will immediately become a Romesh Rangana-fan. That’s Romesh Ranganathan’s new tour, guaranteed to change your life.’

Though that all comes with the disclaimer that there is no such guarantee – and his ‘proof’ of improved self-esteem is based on a 'sample of three people who live with him'.

The news comes as Ranganathan is about to make his West End debut in Alan Ayckbourn’s Woman In Mind, which opens at the Duke Of York’s Theatre next month.

Meanwhile, A League Of Their Own, the Sky sports quiz he hosts, has just begun its final series.

He also hosts Parents' Evening on ITV, he Weakest Link on BBC, the Saturday late morning show on Radio 2 as well as the podcasts The Romesh Ranganathan Show and Wolf & Owl with Tom Davis.

His last stand-up tour, Hustle, took him to the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Dubai and was recorded as a special at The O2 as part of his recently released Sky travelogue series Can't Knock The Hustle.

Tickets to Romesh Ranganathan Will Change Your Life go on sale in various 'pre-sale' waves from 11am on Monday,  then on general sale next Friday.
