Frank Skinner pilots The Greatest Quiz Of All Time

History panel show in development

Frank Skinner is piloting a new comedy panel show immodestly titled The Greatest Quiz Of All Time.

The format is based on the ‘funniest and weirdest’ moments from world history, which celebrity contestants will try to place in the right place on a timeline.

Producers give examples as a naval battle that was won on horseback, exploding kings and a pub-crawling llama.

Chortle can help with the first two – but the last is a mystery. French cavalry forces captured 14 Dutch warships  in the frozen harbour of Den Helder in 1795 while  William the Conqueror’s corpse exploded from a build-up of gases from his decomposing organs before it was buried in 1087.

The pilot will be recorded on Thursday November 27 at the intimate 200-seat Playground Theatre in West London. It is not yet known which broadcaster – if any – might be interested in airing the quiz.

Free audience tickets are available here.
