Hulu confirms a sixth series

Only Murders In The Building is heading to London.

Hulu confirmed that the comedy-whodunit has been renewed for a sixth series as the fifth ended last night. 

Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez will return as the three podcasters who turned investigators to probe deaths in their apartment building in New York’s Upper West Side. The last series revolved around the demise of The Arconia’s doorman, Lester (Teddy Coluca) under suspicious circumstances.

The programme has become known for its starry guest cast, with the likes of Meryl Streep, Nathan Lane, Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz and Keegan-Michael Key appearing in season 5.

Details of the plot of series 6 have not yet been revealed. It is unclear whether the actual murder the trio investigate would happen in London – breaking the titular format – or whether the UK is where their investigations take them.

Martin created Only Murders In The Building with showrunner John Hoffman, and it has so far won seven primetime Emmy awards.

The show streams on Disney+ in the UK – but series one is available to watch for free on ITVX.
