Festive show announced

Adam Riches is to tour a Christmas show in the guise of Sean Bean.

The comedian’s gruff, brooding parody of the Sheffield-born actor is his most enduring alter-ego, having featured in most of his live shows and on Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Now he will tour in The 12 Beans of Christmas, a ‘raucous reimagining’ of his late-night Edinburgh Fringe show Dungeons ‘n’ Bastards, which challenges the audience to face a series of quests, questions and other interactions.

Riches said: ‘Like an undescended testicle en route to its final destination, Christmas is a-coming and nothing yells Yule louder than Sean Bean challenging a room full of bastards to festive battle.’

The comic has most recently teamed up with fellow Edinburgh Comedy Award winner for John Kearns as their version of Michael Ball and Alfie Boe.

The 12 Beans of Christmas kicks off at the  Monkey Barrel in Edinburgh on November 29. Click for Adam Riches tour dates.
