Here are the first images from the second series of the BBC comedy Daddy Issues, starring Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey.

The show returns later this year, with Wood’s character Gemma now having a baby daughter, Sadie.

Other returning actors include David Fynn as Derek (above with Morrison) Taj Atwal as Cherry (below), Sharon Rooney as Catherine and Sarah Hadland as Rita.

The BBC says that in the six new episodes, a ‘a surprise visitor forces Malcolm (Morrissey) to confront his past, and Gemma to face her future’.

Series one of Daddy Issues averaged 1.6 million per episode in the first 28 days, after release.making it the biggest comedy series for BBC Three since the channel’s relaunch in February 2022.

It was created and written by Danielle Ward – who directs with Damon Beesley – and made by Fudge Park Productions, the company Beesley set up with his Inbetweeers co-creator Iain Morris.
