Is Celebrity Juice coming back?
Host Leigh Francis posts video of the team back in the studio
Leigh Francis has reunited with the Celebrity Juice team in a TV studio, teasing a return of the panel show.
He posted a video online of him reprising his Keith Lemon alter-ego at Riverside Studios in West London, where the long-running ITV2 show used to be filmed.
He appears backstage with former team captains Holly Willoughby, Fearne Cotton and Paddy McGuinness before going on set.
On the video, Francis puts on the voice and costume of host Keith Lemon, introduces the ‘old team’ and said: ‘We’re doing something very special’.
And he wrote on social media: ‘ Words to describe yesterday - Fun, silly, naughty, nostalgic, emotional, lovely, brilliant! Wow!’
However, just last month, 52-year-old Francis said: ‘Juice will never come back.’
In the same Instagram Live Q&A he said he had a mystery project lined up for October, but also said: ‘Someone asked me when I’m back on TV and I said I don’t know.
‘I haven't pitched any ideas for TV shows in ages. If I do and someone likes it then I'll be back but if I don't, I won’t.'
Celebrity Juice launched on ITV2 in 2008, and ran for 270 episodes across 14 years.
Cotton and Willoughby were the team captains for the first decade, with McGuinness taking the role in 2019.
