Nick Offerman announces UK dates
'Part comedy, part campfire philosophy, part woodworking tutorial gone rogue’
Parks and Rec star Nick Offerman has announced a short UK tour offering ‘songs, stories and slightly unhinged wisdom’
The tour is inspired by his latest book Little Woodchucks and is described as ‘part comedy, part campfire philosophy, part woodworking tutorial gone rogue’.
Offerman runs his own woodworking workshop in Los Angeles and has said that acting in TV and movies is ‘cramping my style at the woodshop’.
Since his stint as Ron Swanson in Parks and Recreation ended in 2015, Offerman has appeared in Fargo, The Last of Us and The Umbrella Academy and movies such as Civil War and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
Producers of the live show say: ‘Expect reflections on craft, creativity and everyday absurdities, plus the occasional tune and a rallying cry to make things with your own hands.’
Little Woodchucks: Offerman Workshop’s Guide To Tools And Tomfoolery is published in the UK on October 16 and is a genuine guide to 12 family-friendly woodworking projects such as carved twig animals, box kites tool boxes and simple hayloft benches,
The book is available from Amazon priced £16.95 – or from uk.bookshop.org, below, which supports independent bookstores.
Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10am tomorrow,
