Talking about Gavin & Stacey

Ruth Jones and James Corden have announced three extra ‘in conversation’ dates to talk about Gavin And Stacey.

The newly announced shows comprise a matinee at The London Palladium on October 6, after the evening date sold out, plus dates in Swansea Building Society on January 10 and the  Utilita Arena Cardiff the following night. 

Promoters Live Nation say that in the shows the pair will ‘recount the rejection, obstacles and challenges they faced on the way to giving birth to their beloved comedy creation, and as they explore the flourishing of their own real-life friendship.

‘From their tentative initial pitch to the emotionally overwhelming final day of filming, the duo detail what’s occurred every step of the way, bouncing off each other in inimitable style. Expect laughter, memorable moments, and behind-the-scenes secrets from Barry Island to Billericay.’

The new dates tie in with the publication of book about the making of their hit sitcom, When Gavin Met Stacey and Everything in Between: A Story of Love and Friendship, available from Amazon priced £12.50 in hardback – or from uk.bookshop.org, below, which supports independent bookstores.

News of the shows comes after details of their next project, a show for Apple TV+ called The Choir, have been revealed. 

Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale at 10am on  Friday.
