Seymour Mace hurt in car crash

...but he's back on stage two days later

Seymour Mace has resumed his Edinburgh Fringe run, just two days after sustaining severe head injuries in a road accident.

The comedian  also damaged his leg when he was involved in a horrific collision with a car while cycling on  Dublin Street, near to his venue, The Stand.

Yet he was back on stage just two days later with his show Seymour Mace Does Things With Stuff.

The comic – who has been performing at the festival for more than 20 years, said: ‘Not going to lie - it's been tough, but fuck it.  I could have been dead…’

And a spokesperson for The Stand said Mace’s triumph over adversity was ‘surely deserving of some kind of award’.

They added: ‘We’re incredibly proud and slightly amazed that Seymour continued with his run after such a traumatic event.  People should come see his show to witness his injuries alone.’

They can do so at 12.45pm in Stand 2 for the last three days of the Fringe.
