Comic denies six sex-related charges

Hardeep Singh Kohli has  appeared in court charged with sex-related offences.

The 56-year-old comedian denied six charges relating to three women, said to have occurred between 2007 and 2016.

Glasgow Sheriff Court set his trial date  for November 24, and it is estimated to last five days. Kohli was released on bail until then.

The allegations include a claim that he squeezed a woman's bottom at the BBC's studios at Pacific Quay in Glasgow.

Kohli who lives in Glasgow, was a reporter on The One Show who has appeared on  Celebrity Masterchef and  Celebrity Big Brother. 

He made his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2009 with his comedy cookery show The Nearly Naked Chef, returning with the stand-up show Hardeep is Your Love in 2014, Bigmouth Strikes Again in 2015 and  Mixtape: My Life Through Music in 2016.
