Short book tour for Rhys James

To launch his non-fiction title You’ll Like It When You Get There.

Rhys James has announced a short eight-day tour to launch his  first book, You’ll Like It When You Get There.

The  non-fiction title, subtitled A Life Lived Reluctantly, is about dread and not wanting to do things and is published by Wildfire on August 14.

James said: ‘If you’ve ever celebrated plans being cancelled with an Andy Murray fist pump, secretly prayed for another lockdown, attempted to start your own nickname, or tried – in vain – to control the outcome of everything you do, then welcome to the club. We close early, obviously.’

The evenings will take an ‘in conversation’  format with comedy colleagues including Phil WangTom Rosenthal, Ivo Graham and Lolly Adefope asking the questions.

His tour kicks off at Monkey Barrel Comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe on August 12, with a  publication day event at London’s Leicester Square Theatre.
