...hosting the end-of-series reunion

 Katherine Ryan is joining The Real Housewives of London.

The comedian – and hardcore reality TV fan – will be hosting the reunion at the end of the series, which charts the lives of six glamorous and affluent socialites.

It is the first show to be commissioned by streaming platform Hayu, which announced the cast last month.

Ryan said: ‘Pinch me and tell me this is real! As a mega-fan of The Real Housewives franchise – and of Hayu – I can’t wait to get Juliet, Amanda, Karen, Juliet, Panthea and Nessie into the hot seats at the end of the season.

‘Hosting The Real Housewives of London reunion show is a dream opportunity for me – and I’m honoured to be trusted to represent the fans and to bring a female perspective to analysing all the emotions, arguments, twists and revelations!’

The women being followed are:

 Juliet Angus – a Chicago native, stylist, social media influencer, former fashion publicist and founding cast member of Ladies of London; 

Amanda Cronin – a former model turned entrepreneur who founded Amanda Caroline Beauty skincare and runs The Secret Door, an aesthetics and wellness clinic in Belgravia;

Karen Loderick-Peace – a former cast member of The Real Housewives of Jersey, the native of Jamaica who came to the UK in her twenties is preparing to launch her own fashion label; 

Juliet Mayhew – an Australian native and former Miss Galaxy Universe, she runs a successful event planning company catering to elite clients; 

Panthea Parker – a native of Iran, she came to the UK as a child and is now a mother of four who’s known for her high-society lifestyle, having been on the Mayfair scene since the 1990s; 

Nessie Welschinger – a former head of global & international equity financial managamen advisors at Schroders, who runs the renowned Chelsea Cake Company and showcased her skills on Bake Off: The Professionals.

Each season of a Real Housewives series ends with a reunion, in which the cast members convene to discuss the events of the season. It is generally filmed in a single day after  the women have had a chance to view the season's episodes and isgenerally edited into two or three one-hour episodes.

The Real Housewives  franchised began in 2006 with a series set in Orange County, California,

Ten more series have been produced in the United States – set in New York City, Atlanta, New Jersey, D.C., Beverly Hills, Miami, Potomac, Dallas, Salt Lake City and Rhode Island

This is the third UK adaptation, following previous series set in Cheshire and Jersey.
