Will & Ralf Should Know Better gets a second series

With Will Mellor and Ralf Little trying stand-up for the first time

Will Mellor and Ralf Little are to make six more episodes of their U&Dave show Will & Ralf Should Know Better.

The pair will take on new challenges in the second series, including performing stand-up comedy for the first time, surviving the most haunted pub in the UK and orienteering in the wild with no phones.

Mellor and  Little have been friends for more than 20 years after teaming up in the BBC sitcom Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps and have been podcasting together for the past five years.

In Should Know Better, they aim to find out how they can do life better as two middle-aged men.

Mellor said: ‘I’m so happy to be making a second series of this show with Ralf - we had so much fun filming series one and it seems the public loved it just as much as us. The reaction to series one was overwhelming.’

Little added: ‘Somehow, they’ve let us do this again! I’m buzzing to be back with Will for round two — more adventures, more questionable decisions, and probably more moments where we ask, "What on earth are we doing?". I’m incredibly grateful for the response to the first series, and I can’t wait to get started on the next!"

Made by by Afro-Mic Productions, the second series of Will & Ralf Should Know Better will air in two blocks, with the first three episodes airing later this year and the rest to follow in 2026. Series one averaged 530,000 viewers per episode, and was the top-ranking U&Dave series on streaming platform, U, during the month of launch.

Commissioning executive Jason Dawson said: ‘The U&Dave audience completely fell in love with Will & Ralf’s incredible chemistry, emotional depth, and cheeky charm the first time round, so we’re delighted to be bringing them much more of it.

‘To be honest, after the boys’ learning so much about themselves and each other in series one, I was concerned that they might’ve become a little too sensible ahead of series two! However, from early conversations with the pair and the brilliant team at Afro-Mic, I'm happy to confirm that there’s still plenty of work to be done!’
