LONDON: The glorious chaos of Stamptown Comedy Night comes to Leicester Square Theatre for one night only, overseen by Zack Zucker's desperate-for-love, sound-effects dependent stand-up alter ego Jack Tucker, and featuring a wild collection of the circuit's oddest oddballs.
YARM: A fantastic night seems assured in North Yorkshire with a bill at the Princess Alexandra Auditorium that includes the Last Leg's Adam Hills, TV favourite Zoe Lyons, charming livewire Brennan Reece and the sharp-witted Laura Lexx.
Monday November 25
LONDON: Musical comedy duo present their One Man Musical (which also contains two women!) – a fun, satirical look at the strange life of Andrew Lloyd Webber that skirts gleefully close to defamation laws and which features an outstanding performance from star George Fouracres. It's at the Soho Theatre all week. Review
LONDON: And at the same venue Joe Kent-Walters presents his Edinburgh best newcomer-nominated show in the guise of Frankie Monroe, the owner and MC of The Misty Moon, a working men's club in Rotherham that also happens to be a portal to hell. Though the set-up sounds creepy and weird, JKW has great fun with the concept and his audience. Review
Wednesday November 27
MANCHESTER: The Frog And Bucket hosts a benefit night for Acorn & The Wellspring, charities that work with the homeless and those recovering from addiction. The line-up includes Justin Moorhouse, Hayley Ellis, Tom Wrigglesworth and many more from the North-West comedy circuit.
DUBLIN: Dublin City Council is running four comedy gigs entitled Comedy Culture In The Capital from tonight to Friday, kicking off with Martin Angolo, Aideen Mcqueen, Becky Cheatle and Johnny Candon at Big Romance in Parnell Street. The others are listed here.
Thursday November 28
LONDON: Some massive stars pay tribute to Neil Innes at Indigo at the O2 tonight. They include Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam, Ade Edmondson, Phill Jupitus, Roger McGough, Sanjeev Bhaskar and many more. The celebration of music and comedy is entitled How Sweet To Be An Idiot, also the subtitle of the recent memoir by his widow Yvonne.
Friday November 29
LONDON: Scottish comic Rosco McClelland brings his hit Edinburgh stand-up show Sudden Death to the Pleasance in Islington for one night. In it, he reveals he has Long QT Syndrome, aka the terrifyingly named 'sudden death syndrome', which perhaps explains why he's living life to the full… Review.
LONDON: America's king of weird, Emo Philips, makes a rare visit to the UK, with two nights of magnificently crafted off-kilter wordplay at the Soho Theatre, having done just five minutes at the Neil Innes tribute last night.
