Jerrod Carmichael to make his London debut

With just three work-in-progress shows

Jerrod Carmichael is set to perform in London for the first time.

The American comedian behind the much-acclaimed HBO special Rothaniel is to play three nights at the Soho Theatre next month.

The gigs, on March 6 to 8, will be works in progress for his next show.

Carmichael was recently seen in  Yorgos Lanthimos's Oscar nominated film Poor Things, in which he played cruise ship passenger Harry Astley alongside Emma Stone and Mark Ruffalo.

In 2022, he won a Primetime Emmy Award for writing Rothaniel, which was directed by Bo Burnham.

Tickets for his London dates - starting at £29 - are available from the Soho Theatre website. The cost includes a £3 fee for a compulsory pouch to lock your phone in for the duration of the show. Producers warn: ‘Anyone seen using a device (phone, smart watch or accessories) during the performance will be escorted out of the venue.’
