Lou Sanders leaves Dancing On Ice

Comic said she'd had the 'time of my life'

Lou Sanders has been eliminated from Dancing On Ice.

Both the comedian and Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi left the ITV skating show in a double elimination.

Shahidi and dance partner Sylvain Longchambon  were immediately sent home after scoring the lowest from judges – 24.5 points – the first time a couple has been eliminated this way

Of the next lowest scoring couples, Sanders and her partner Brendyn Hatfield ended up in the skate-off with Ricky Norwood and Annette Dytrt, having scored 26.5 and 28 respectively.

It was Sanders highest score of the series, but not enough to save her.

They had danced to the title song from Six in the show’s musicals week.

After her elimination, Sanders joked  'It's all about never giving up so we'll be back next week.’

She added: 'I've had the absolute time of my life, thank you. He [Brendyn] said his insurance has gone up since working with me.’

Lou Sanders will be talking about her book at the Chortle Comedy Book Festival at the British Library in London on March 3, part of a day that also includes sessions from Ed Gamble, Sara Pascoe & Cariad Lloyd, Doon Mackichan and Bob Cryer talking about his dad Barry Cryer. Tickets available here.
