Chris Rock sets a streaming record

Selective Outrage outperforms Dave Chappelle

Chris Rock has set a record with his latest comedy special.

Selective Outrage has become the stand-up show that was most streamed in any week, according to new figures from audience measurement experts Nielsen.

It was streamed for a total of 798million minutes in the first week it was released, figures show.

The previous record was held by Dave Chappelle’s 2019 special Sticks and Stones, which had 573million viewing minutes.

Nielsen has been collecting streaming data since 2017, and Rock took the record for views in the week from March 6 to 12.

Interest in his special was likely to be piqued as it was the first time he addressed getting slapped by Will Smith on stage at last year’s Oscar’s ceremony.
