...for a one-off special

John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme is to return to Radio 4 for a one-off special.

The writer and performer will be joined by his usual supporting cast of Margaret Cabourn-Smith, Simon Kane, Lawry Lewin and Carrie Quinlan, and pianist Sue Pearse for the episode, which is being recorded in front of a studio audience in London next month.

The acclaimed sketch comedy show began in 2011 and has so far run for nine series. The last season, which aired in 2021, was a more experimental format, which each episode revolving around a different member of the same family – so allowing overarching themes – with their stories told in reverse chronology.

Free tickets for the recording – at the Rada Studio Theatre in Central London on Monday April 17 – will be allocated by random draw. Visit the BBC ticketing website to apply.
