Strictly judge praises Jayde Adams

Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse praised Jayde Adams for bringing a body-positive message to the show last night.

After the comic donned a leotard to dance the Cha Cha Cha to What A Feeling from the film Flashdance, an emotional Mabuse said: ‘Thank you so much for that moment.

‘I think it's so beautiful to tell everyone that dancing is inclusive for everyone, all body types, all shapes, everybody on that dance floor. You make me proud. Well done. Keep up the good work guys.’

Fellow judge Anton Du Beke stole the song title to say: ‘Wow, what a lovely feeling.’

Shirley Ballas said: ‘You didn’t shy away from any movements at all.. your personality is absolutely fantastic.’

Adams and her professional partner Karen Hauer scored 29 points from judges, placing them joint sixth.

Ellie Taylor had a less successful night in Movie Week, ending joint second from bottom with 21 points for the the Cha Cha Cha she performed with  Johannes Radebe.

They donned vintage costumes to dance to The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss) from the Cher movie Mermaids.

Ballas laid down the law about her footwork, leading with the heel rather the toe, with her fellow other judges agreeing.

But Craig Revel Horwood said that despite her appearing quite ‘stompy, added: ‘I like you. I like watching you.’

Taylor is now at risk of elimination after the low score,.
