Scrubs comeback? We're gonna do it!

So says creator Bill Lawrence

American hospital comedy Scrubs  could be making a comeback.

The cast and creator Bill Lawrence reunited at the ATX TV festival in Austin, Texas, yesterday, when talk inevitably turned to a comeback.

‘Here’s the deal: I think we all want a reboot and want to work together again,’ said star Donald Faison, who played Dr. Chris Turk.

‘But it couldn’t be a full season. Maybe like a movie or something we could shoot in a few months.

‘With everything Bill is doing now, he’s never going to be free again. If he finds the time, we’ll do it.’

In comments reported by Deadline, Lawrence – who now works on Ted Lasso, which he co-created – added: ‘We’re gonna do it because people still care about it and we enjoy spending time with each other.’

Also at the  Scrubs reunion on Sunday morning were  Zach Braff, who played the lead of JD, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley, Judy Reyes, and Neil Flynn.

When asked what the characters would be doing today, Reyes replied: ‘I think Turk and JD finally come out.’

Scrubs is currently being shown on 4Music in the UK.
