Triple Bafta win for We Are Lady Parts

Including comedy writer gong for Nida Manzoor

We Are Lady Parts won three Bafta craft awards last night.

Nida Manzoor, the creator  of the Channel 4 comedy about a Muslim female punk band, won the award for comedy writer.

PC Williams won the costume design category and Aisha Bywaters won for scripted casting at the ceremony, which celebrates off-screen talent.

No show won more awards last night. Crime drama mini-series Landscapers also won three, while It’s A Sin and  The Witcher each collected two awards.

Adjani Salmon won an emerging talent Bafta for writing the comedy pilot Dreaming Whilst Black, while Kayleigh Llewellyn won the writing award for drama for In My Skin.

The ceremony was hosted by Mel Giedroyc, and featured guest presenters including; Ade Adepitan, Aisling Bea and Olivia Colman.
