Kiri Pritchard-McLean takes over TV Flashbacks

As fellow comic Tudur Owen steps back from BBC Wales series

Kiri Pritchard-McLean has been announced as the new presenter of BBC Wales’s comedy clip series TV Flashbacks.

The series – which takes a comic look at the quirkiest television moments from the last 50 years from the BBC Wales archives –  has been presented by fellow comedian Tudur Owen for the past three years.

Pritchard-McLean said: ‘Like the rest of  the audience I love the programme and its unique celebration of the weirdest and most wonderful sides of Wales. It’s a delight and a privilege to be part of the show and watch these gems from the archive.’

Paul Forde, BBC Wales’ commissioning editor for comedy, added: ‘With 42 shows of Flashback under his belt, Tudur has set a really high bar but we know Kiri will put her own unique stamp on the programme. We’re really looking forward to seeing what gems she can unearth.’

The series returns to BBC Wales on Friday January 7.
