BBC One series with Christopher Walken

The BBC has released a cache of images from Stephen Merchant's upcoming comedy-drama The Outlaw.

Also being made for Amazon Prime, the show was originally called The Offenders and features Oscar-winner Christopher Walken in his first lead British television role.

The Outlaws follows seven strangers from different walks of life forced together to complete a community payback sentence in Bristol… and ultimately unite to protect one of their own from Bristol’s most dangerous criminal gang.

As well as Walken and Merchant, who also directs, the show stars Eleanor Tomlinson, Darren Boyd, Rhianne Barreto, Gamba Cole, Clare Perkin, Jessica Gunning and Charles Babalola.

The six-part series will air this autumn on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK, and then later on Amazon Prime Video in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Nordic countries.
