Charlie Brooker returns to Netflix

British comics to feature in Attack Of The Hollywood Clichés!

Charlie Brooker has made a new Netflix special mocking hackneyed movie tropes.

Attack Of The Hollywood Clichés!, will drop on September 28, hosted by Rob Lowe and with comics Dane Baptiste, Erika Ehler and  Michael Odewale among the writing staff.

The head writer is Ben Caudell, whose credits include Famalam, Frankie Boyle's New World Order and Cunk On Britain, starring his partner Diane Morgan.  Jason Hazeley, Daniel Maier and  Sean Doherty round out the team.

The site says that clichés explored in the hour-long show will include ‘Walking Away from an Explosion’  and ‘Females Running in Stilettos’.

The show - which will be released on September 28 - follows last year's mockumentary Death To 2020, which featured the likes of Hugh Grant, Samuel L Jackson, Lisa Kudrow, Tracey Ullman, Diane Morgan and Samson Kayo looking back at the previous 12 months.

Netflix today also announced the commission of three reality TV shows from British producers:  Snowflake Mountain  in which ‘clueless kidults’ are put them through their paces at a wilderness survival retreat’; Dance Monsters which uses special effects to convert the competitors into ‘loveable and fantastical’ creatures; and Dated And Related, in which siblings search for ‘the one’ together.
