Desiree Burch to host a dating show for threesomes
Desiree Burch is to host a Channel 4 dating show that will set people up for threesomes.
In The Golden Triangle, the comic will invite a couple and a single person to learn more about each other before deciding whether to team up or not.
It is the second dating show for the stand-up – and former dominatix - as she also narrates Too Hot To Handle on Netflix.
Producers point to research which says 38 per cent of 18-24s would like a polyamorous relationship, but add: ’For many couples hoping to throuple-up, actually agreeing on who the third person should be is notoriously difficult. Today’s wannabe throuples are in need of a helping hand ... The Golden Triangle is here to help matchmake.’
A call for participants in The Golden Triangle sought people with ‘good communication skills, honest knowledge of one's self and a genuine intention of finding love’.
The show is being shot in front of a studio audience this week, and tickets are available here.
Channel 4 has also commissioned the documentary My First Threesome, while it previously produced a series of digital shorts entitled Threesome Dating in which six intrepid couples met six willing singles for ‘unforgettable dates’.
