When is Ghosts back on TV?

BBC sets the date for series 3 launch

The third series of Ghosts is returning to BBC One next month, the corporation has announced.

Charlotte Ritchie and Kiell Smith-Bynoe return as Alison and Mike – the couple who inherited a grand country estate overrun with ghosts that only she can see – on Monday August 9. The exact time has yet to be confirmed,

In the first episode,  a historical documentary team comes to film at Button House – and it turns out that the assassination plot they’re exploring involves one of the mansion’s ghosts.

Meanwhile, Alison reluctantly agrees to aTV interview about the house and recruits poet Thomas Thorne (Mat Baynton) to coach her in the art of speech-giving.

Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond, Katy Wix and Lolly Adefope return as the ghosts.

Meanwhile. America’s CBS has set a premiere date of October 7 for its remake of the show, starring Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar as the couple who inherit the haunted house.
