For a classical music tour of the UK

Jo Brand has joined Scala Radio, to offer a four-part virtual journey across the UK.

The comedian will explore classical music from around the country as she recalls gigs from around the UK in the series, called On Tour.

She said:  ‘It is great to be back out on tour, albeit in a slightly different way to what I am used to. I am looking forward to exploring the wonderful of  classical music the UK has to offer, whilst reminiscing about some of the fun memories I have had while out on the comedy circuit.’

The show begins in Scotland, giving a nod to the Edinburgh Fringe, while playing tracks such as Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony and Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy.

The second episode will explore the north of England, beginning in Liverpool, before venturing to Hull, Leeds, and the Lake District.

Episode three will see  Jo head to North Wales, the West and South-West of England with London and the South-East bringing the tour to a close.

On Tour with Jo Brand on Scala Radio begins this Sunday from 6pm to 8pm.

>> The Sun takes a Jo Brand gag seriously.
