Only Fools And Horses musical returns to the West End

With Paul Whitehouse as Grandad

The Only Fools And Horses musical is to reopen in the West End after an 18-month break.

Producers have today announced that the show will return to London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket on Friday  October 1.

Paul Whitehouse will return as Grandad, alongside Tom Bennett as Del Boy and Ryan Hutton as Rodney.

The reopening will form part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of John Sullivan’s BBC sitcom, which first aired on   September 8, 1981.

Whitehouse, who co-wrote the stage show with Sullivan’s son Jim,  said he was ‘ over the moon’ to be returning, adding: ‘The last year or so has been very difficult for a lot of people, so I know I speak for the whole cast when I say that we genuinely cannot wait to get back on stage in front of a live audience - we've missed it so much. Roll   October 1, we can't wait to see you. Mange tout!"

Tickets for the show, which also features songs written by Chas n Dave, are available from Ticketmaster.
