Mo Gilligan writes his memoirs

'Sharing the moments that made me'

Mo Gilligan is writing his first book, a memoir mixed with life lessons.

The Moment When will be published in September by Ebury Press, which says the book will cover the ‘inspirational, life-changing and hilarious moments that made him’.

Gilligan came to fame via social media and stand-up to host his own Channel 4 show and become a judge on ITV’s primetime Satruday-night hit The Masked Singer.

He says: ‘The last few years have been so incredible for me, but there was also a decade's worth of grind before I got any kind of break.

‘In That Moment When I get to share all those stories, all the highs and lows and moments that made me.

‘I genuinely never imagined that I would ever get the opportunity to write my own book, so this is another amazing one to add and I’m so grateful to everyone who has helped make this happen.’

The book will include  his childhood memories from South London, embarrassing teenage experiences, reminiscing about school days and old-school raving, a behind-the-scenes look at  his first comedy gigs  and becoming a viral sensation.

Gilligan book cover That MO-ment whents blurb adds: ‘Among the laugh-out-loud observations, life lessons and candid storytelling, there lies the bigger influences in Mo's life - the unsung heroes of the Black British comedy scene, the power of community and the feel-good legacy he wants to create.’

That Moment When will be released in hardback, ebook and as an audiobook from September 2 and is currently available to order from Amazon.
