With a remote 'studio' audience

Mock The Week is to return this month, with a remote ‘studio’ audience.

Producers will mix the reaction from scores of viewers at home using the VAR system –  Virtual Audience Recording – previously deployed to on shows such as Have I Got News For You.

The new series, which kicks off on October 22 with Dara O Briain again in the host’s chair, will be the 19th, and the first new episodes since December last year.

Free tickets to access the recording of the episodes are available from the BBC website.

The BBC is also recording a Live at the Apollo retrospective,  marking 16 years of the stand-up show.

Omid Djalili revealed he was one of those taking part, along with O Briain, tweeting:
