Austentatious announce a return to the West End

Improv show's London residency from February next year

Austentatious have announced their return to the West End.

The improvised Jane Austen show will have a weekly residency at the Fortune Theatre on Mondays from February 22 to July 27, plus a Mothering Sunday special on March 14 – a total of 23 dates.

In a statement, the troupe  said:  ‘After spending many months recuperating at Netherfield we are beyond excited to put on our best ribbons and gloves (and masks) and return to our London home, the beautiful (and very clean) Fortune Theatre!

‘To have an audience again after the strange times we have been living through would mean more to us than a proposal from the richest bachelor in the county! Please do join us for a season of absurd Regency adventures. Pride & Pandemic, Sense & Sanitiser – we await your glorious suggestions with healthy zeal! ‘

The cast – which includes Cariad Lloyd, Rachel Parris,  Joseph Morpurgo, Amy Cooke-Hodgson, Andrew Hunter Murray,  Graham Dickson, Charlotte Gittins  and Daniel Nils Roberts – produce a full-scale Regency epic based on a single audience suggestion.

Previous ‘lost’ masterpieces have included Dirty Darcying, The Bodice Guard, Hold Me Closer Tiny Darcy and We Will Frock You.

Tickets are available here.
