Milton Jones reschedules his autumn dates

Not a good sign for the early resumption of live comedy...

Milton Jones has become the first major comedian to reschedule his autumn dates – reflecting fresh fears about when live stand-up might be able to resume.

The Mock The Week regular was due to resume his Milton: Impossible tour from October 8, kicking off in Walsall.

But promoters Phil McIntyre Live have now rebooked all those dates for  February 2021 onwards.

The first leg of the tour was postponed midway through its run this spring because of the Covid-19 pandemic. But the rebooking of the autumn dates, too, suggests a pessimism about normality returning to theatres and arts centres even five or six months from now.

Jones said: "Maybe I shouldn’t have called it Milton Impossible. "Milton Quite Possible Eventually, Even if Takes Slightly Longer Than Envisaged’"may have been a more accurate title, if slightly less catchy.

‘I don’t think I caused the pandemic though, I’m sure I washed my hands. Yeah, pretty sure.

Jones’s new dates are on sale now. Click here for the schedule and for tickets.
