Scrubs could become a movie

'I think it will happen' says star Zach Braff

Zach Braff wants to make a movie version of his long-running hospital sitcom Scrubs.

The actor said he would be up for reviving the show – which aired for nine years from 2001 -  if series creator Bill Lawrence and rights owners Disney would be interested, too.

Speaking on the Scrubs-themed podcast Fake Doctors, Real Friends, which he hosts with sitcom co-star Donald Faison, Braff said: 'I think it would be fun for us to all do something like that. We just have to get Disney to be into it and Bill Lawrence to be into it.

'I think it will happen; the fans seem to really want it to happen.'

All 182 episodes of the show began streaming on  All 4 last month.
