Jamie Demetriou teases a lockdown episode of his C4 comedy

Jamie Demetriou has announced that Stath Lets Flats is to return for a lockdown special.

The creator of the cult  Channel 4 comedy tweeted an image of the cast in character on a group video chat, saying that a short episode would be coming soon.

He was pictured alongside co-stars ncluding Katy Wix, Al Roberts, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Ellie White and his sister Natasia – who is soon to host Netflix’s Big Flower Fight with Vic Reeves.

However, Demetriou’s tweet, shared by the cast, gave no indication of when the episode might drop.

The second series of Stath Lets Flats, co-written by Friday Night Dinner’s Robert Popper, aired on Channel 4 in September.

Emma Sidi has taken great care to replicate the authentic feel of 1980s Spanish-language telenovelas in this spot-on parody, set in contemporary small-town England and which she describes as 'a bit Acorn Antiques, bit Garth Marenghi'.

At her mother's untimely funeral, Becky Hello (a typical British millennial as imagined by Mexican writers who have never been to the UK) discovers she has inherited a fortune. But it isn't long before nefarious family members begin to circle, and Becky must keep her wits about her if she is to avoid the same fate as her mother.
